Miconi Marble & Tile

Miconi Marble & Tile installs marble, stone, and tile for kitchens and bathrooms across Marin County. Tile is a craft where the work speaks for itself — but only if people can actually see it. The brief was to build a site that put finished installations front and centre, and then to make sure the business showed up well when a homeowner went looking.

The site is organised around the work rather than around the company. Separate portfolios for kitchens, bathrooms, and marble and tile give each type of project its own space, with slab installations and tile and grout repair broken out as distinct services. That structure does two jobs at once: it lets a homeowner who already knows they want a bathroom remodel go straight to relevant photography, and it gives each service a page that can rank on its own terms rather than competing with a single catch-all services page.

A highlight of the portfolio is the company’s work on the Sunset Magazine Idea House — a genuine credential, given its own page rather than buried in a gallery. Featured projects and testimonials sit on the homepage where they carry the most weight for someone deciding whether to get in touch.

Beyond the build, the engagement covered the parts of a local trade business’s presence that live off the website. That meant a strategic approach to social media and active work on the review profiles — Yelp and Google — that a homeowner checks before calling anyone. For a local installer, those profiles often decide the enquiry before the website is ever opened, so treating them as separate from the site would have missed the point.

The work was scoped with the client’s budget in mind throughout, which shaped decisions toward a maintainable WordPress build the company could keep adding project photography to over time, rather than something that would need us every time a new kitchen was finished.
